Lesson 10: ICT as Platform for Change

Implications of media and information to an individual:

Media and Information helps every individuals to cope up in the world. Media influence is the actual force exerted by a media message, resulting in either a change or reinforcement in audience or individual beliefs. Media effects are measurable effects that result from media influence, or a media message. 

What I learned from the lesson:

In this lesson I discovered many things that I didn't know before like those website that you can petition for a change about governance because Philippines is a democratic country. I also just found out that there such sites that is very helpful like yolanda people finder, change.org to inform everyone about what is happening in our country that we didn't see in television.

Lesson 9: Interactive Multimedia

I've learned in this lesson that Interactive media is digital products in which the user can interact with by preforming action via a button such as text, video games, audio, videos and animation. This lesson is more advance than other things that we did before and this lesson is interesting to do.

Lesson 8: Collaborative ICT Development

This lesson gave me knowledge about online collective tool that will help me to effectively monitor my co-members when there's a group task. This topic also broaden my knowledge about these things that will make group projects or office works easier even though you're at home or in a vacation.

Lesson 7: Online Platforms as Tools for ICT Content and Development

In this lesson, I have learned the nature and purposes of online platforms. This lesson also helped me to identify different type of online platforms like Social Media, Blogging, Presentation/Visualizations, Cloud Computing, Web page creation, Files Management and Mapping. This will also enhance my skill in  creating web design on web page by the help of basic web design principles and elements.

Lesson 6: Imaging and Design for Online Environment

This lesson helped me to improve my skill in editing online graphics like this picture. I've enjoyed doing this task because I like to do thing about graphics and layout. I've also learned about the difference of PNG and JPG.  We have also discussed about  uploading, sharing, and image hosting platforms like Imgur ,Google Photos, Flick, Instagram and more.

Lesson 5: Advance Presentation Skills

This topic is all about Microsoft Powerpoint It includes the effects, animation, transition, images, videos and more. I've also learned about guidelines in creating an effective presentation and those are  minimize, clarity, simplicity, visuals, consistency and contrast. I have also made one and I use hyperlink on it.

Lesson 4: Advance Spreadsheet Skills

This lesson is about the Microsoft Excel which is the widely used spreadsheet program. I've learned that  Microsoft Excel is very useful in making tables and handling numbers. You can also insert and delete rows and columns.  I've also learned the environment of excel and its different formula like AVERAGEIF, COUNTIF, SUMIF and more.

Lesson 3: Advance Word Processing

In this lesson I have learned about different part of Microsoft Word and it's use. I've also learned about mail merge and I use it to do a cover letter. We also discussed about .JPG, .PNG, .GIF, ClipArt, SmarArt and different type of text wrap like Square, Tight, Through etc.

Lesson 2: Rules of Netiquette

In this lesson I have learned about online safety and security. We should know about these thing for our own safety because there might be things that you're doing now that putting you at risk like sharing your own or personal information. I've also learned about malware, trojan, phishing, adware, worm etc. We have also discussed about cybercrime and privacy policy.
